Remote and Hostile Medicine including FPOS
The first three days of the course are FPOS which is approved by Edexcel and is IHCD managed. The additional two days are for those requiring extended skills. The training includes both theoretical lectures and practical sessions, designed to develop a good, all round First Responder.
The instructors are all ex Special Forces Medics and civilian paramedics; all have recent operational experience.
The syllabus includes:
FPOS Intermediate and First Aid at Work
Scene Safety
- Airway Management
- Oxygen Therapy
- Spinal Immobilisation
- Defibrillation
- Trauma and Medical Emergencies
Extended Skills
Cannulation
- Fluid Therapy
- Advanced Trauma
Chest, Abdominal, Head and Extremity Trauma (including Tourniquets and Quick Clot)
Cost
The cost for individual places on our regular open courses is £495 + VAT for all five days. This includes manuals, certification, tea/coffee and lunch.
